Job Description

What's it all about?

The Digital Partnerships team is responsible for Visa’s relationships with the largest technology companies and platforms in the world.  The team identifies, structures, and closes deals to pursue opportunities with these critical companies. Digital Partnerships team works closely with Visa’s Product and Solutions teams (functions and services) to identify and pursue new merchant, Issuing & Acquiring clients, service providers and ecosystem participants in European payments.

The Digital Partnerships Senior Manager will drive Visa’s digital, innovation and business agenda with named Digital Partners. The role will be focused on unlocking new partnership opportunities with global SaaS players and B2B enablers. The role requires a business development mindset, curiosity and vision to shape partnership frameworks from commercial and solution perspective, leveraging collaboration with Visa SME and product teams. This individual will manage client relationships, prospect and execute new business opportunities to achieve Visa’s commercial objectives. Partnering with clients to drive value added services and enable new flows to grow usage of Visa card and non-card solutions.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Engage with named digital partners – build strong relationships and be in a driving sit to understand partners needs and identify new business opportunities for Visa. Develop and execute customized account strategy to increase revenue and market share for strategic partner accounts.
  • Communicate and articulate all aspects of Visa value propositions for strategic partners, consultatively identify and prioritize opportunities and craft tailored solutions that drive specific commercial metrics. Deliver world-class executive proposals, reports, and presentations with strategic messaging that speaks to the C-suite decision makers.
  • Partner with global team and product SMEs to define the partnership scope and tailored solutions leveraging Visa core products, value added services and money movement solutions on card and non-card rails. Drive partner engagement from executive leaders to technical implementation teams through the pre-sales and post-sales stages to ensure solution fit and desired business outcomes.
  • Structure and negotiate new revenue generating opportunities and deals.  Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and partner with internal teams in a multi-regional context. Support key foundational aspects of the partners’ businesses in collaboration with the key SME’s/functional teams across Visa, including Client Services, Visa membership/licensing, legal, operational optimisation, product and marketing etc. Collaboratively deliver on responsibilities for various clients’ and internal outcomes.
  • Develop a broad understanding of issues and trends affecting the payments landscape. Bring industry insights to clients while continuously demonstrating Visa industry thought leadership and value.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Experienced, result oriented sales leader with a track record in developing new partnerships, leading the solutioning of commercial and product frameworks, and closing global deals.
  • Knowledge of financial services markets, preferably with strong knowledge of card payments industry, electronic payments, their products, services and technologies
  • Expertise in commercial and B2B payments on the banking, corporate side or consulting is a strong plus.
  • Good understanding of SaaS, ERP business model, connectivity and integration between business applications. Solution engineering experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong business, commercial, and financial acumen is required. Data management and analytics skills
  • Ability to envision, structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise, goal-oriented initiatives with multiple stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies in a matrix environment. Ability to establish productive relationships and influence on all levels internally and with clients. Strong organisation and project execution skills.
  • Self-starter, team oriented, curious, creative and proactive.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment with significant change, ambiguity and adapting to evolving organisational requirements.
