Job Description

Visa are looking for a Marketing Analytics Manager to support and drive our work to enable Country marketing teams to understand the impact marketing delivers to the organization. Impact across a range of agreed KPI’s including business, brand and behavioral. The successful candidate will have a passion for solving business problems with data and ability to thread a compelling story and logic flow through the findings. To own the collation and curation of results across Europe.

The role is withing our Marketing Analytics team, within a wider Insights and Analytics function. It requires interrogation of a broad range of datasets, including attitudinal survey data as well as behavioral transaction data, and storyboarding compelling data stories in plain language. 

Success requires establishing strong business relationships across Europe where trust and transparency are critical. To be effective in this role requires a team player with curiosity and dedication to deliver across whole marketing function. You will be one of the cornerstones in Marketing’s ability to share success stories across the organization.

The team is responsible for identifying techniques and tools to be used by Visa internally and also to directly help our clients and partner businesses.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver marketing performance analytics across Europe, servicing sponsorships, B2B and at times the wider marketing organization.

  • Provide a timely rhythm (quarterly/ annual) for performance reports across activities.

  • Build compelling data stories that are easily understood and connected to recommended actions and future optimization.

  • Be comfortable working with different sources to build insights including big data (analyzing Visanet transactions), primary and secondary research to deliver marketing (and business) insights.

  • Critical to build working relationships with key stakeholders across marketing and wider functions, including support of Visa local market clusters in Europe.

  • Write and present key project findings to internal and external audiences.

  • To be an active part of the European and Global analytics community.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at
least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,
JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualification
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Analytical skills & ability to work with data and communicate insights simply
and clearly.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation, verbal & written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate technical
information to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to interrogate big data, with experience of using map-reduce databases
(Hadoop, GCP or AWS…).
• Proficient in SQL and one other statistical programming language (Python or R)
• Experience working through Jupyter notebooks.
• Experience in excel.
• Strong data visualization skills with ability to build compelling data stories
(tools such as Tableau & Power BI preferred but not required).
• Strong problem solving, stakeholder management/ negotiation, project
management capabilities and skills in communication especially knowledge
management.
• Able to manage time effectively and comfortable with shifting priorities and
deadlines.
• Curious to understand and influence business drivers in payments industry, and
learn new analytics and insights techniques.
• Experience of marketing and communications plans within a multi-national
organization desirable
