This FX Trading role forms an integral part of the Global Treasury FX service delivery, both in terms of the technical excellence and operational delivery, needed to drive the Visa Global FX capability to meet the future demands of the business.
Visa is engaged in a multi-year FX investment cycle and this role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, operational implementation delivery and daily execution for the London based FX desk and for all aspects of growing the Visa FX business.
The eFX Trader will be part of the team that manages the day-to-day operations of the eFX trading business, ensuring that FX pricing remains competitive and in line with overall strategy. The role will involve managing FX risk and liquidity across Visa, actively reviewing client performance and using analytics to improve business performance.
Role Description
Reporting to the Head of eFX, the eFX trader will:
· Support the implementation of the current and future strategies for eFX Trading product and deliver the business objectives of financial targets, client delivery, and risk and control.
· Manage all day-to-day risks efficiently from the automated market making and risk management business.
· Focus on operating successfully within a continual improvement delivery cycle.
· Engage with the relevant teams to optimise FX product design and configuration.
· Collaborate closely with the data and risk teams to implement and monitor the current eFX strategic design.
· Support the management of liquidity provider relationships and collaborate with global sales and product teams to drive the client agenda.
· Provide regular business updates on delivery and successes to management and other stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
In terms of the competencies required for the position, we would highlight the following:
· 5+ years experience in an electronic trading role (Bank or non-Bank).
· In-depth knowledge and experience of eFX pricing and risk management strategies.
· Strong understanding of the eFX product landscape. Established record of working with the relevant teams to adapt existing products to create tailored risk solutions for specific use cases.
· Understanding of eFX ecosystems, and a track record of leading a quantitative approach to risk management.
· In depth experience of working with analytical tools) to understand and improve desk activity and results
· Strong mathematic background, ideally including statistics and modern machine learning methods.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a business-building aptitude.
· Ability to conceptualize solutions and to execute them.
