The NEC Housing platform has had huge investment and expanded greatly across recent years and we are continuing to invest at the same ambitious rate.
NEC is looking for an experienced and skilled individual to lead a team of Product Managers in the area of repairs.
Management of repairs is a critically important for social housing landlords and this role will focus on ensuring that the NEC Housing platform supports our customers to deliver the best service they can to their tenants.
You will work with a team of Product Managers to understand market needs, listen to customer requirements and use that information to work with our Development team, to build solutions that deliver.
In addition, you will be working closely with our Business Solution Architects, Implementation and Customer Support teams to help resolve customer issues and challenges.
The Lead Product Manager for Housing Repairs will be responsible for defining and articulating the NEC Housing repairs proposition and work closely with teams including Pre-Sales, Marketing and Sales to ensure that it’s effectively promoted in the market.
This is a truly exciting role, with lots of opportunity to bring your own ideas, to ensure that NEC Housing supports our customers to deliver an outstanding repairs service.
The Lead Product Manager for Repairs will:
- Manage and work with a team of Product Managers responsible for the delivery of our Repairs solution from end-to-end – from the repair being requested, managing works orders, scheduling and completing the work, while ensuring that staff and tenants are kept informed throughout;
- Capture, analyse and define our customer’s business needs and objectives to ensure that NEC Housing products and solutions meet or exceed customer/market expectations;
- Work with NEC teams to define appropriate combinations of NEC intellectual property and third party systems;
- Provide product specifications for Development & Test and support the build and test activities;
- Work within Agile teams providing the product input;
- Liaise and manage requirements with 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators or other organisations as required;
- Support a range of end user engagements such as User Groups, Special Interest Groups and ad-hoc customer consultation projects;
- Assist the Pre-Sales/Sales teams with the production, review and management of bid responses, sales proposals and quotations;
- Produce and deliver sales/technical presentations for both customer and internal audiences;
- Manage/support the entire product life-cycle for the NEC Housing repairs portfolio from concept, to development, launch, support to retirement;
- Keep up to date with trends, regulation and market changes in the repairs space and recommend enhancements for the development roadmap for the NEC Housing repairs solution;
- Support implementation teams to resolve customer product-related issues and challenges;
Be able to think outside of the box, solve complex problems with an eye on the bigger picture and work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Strong Social Housing knowledge and awareness of current sector issues, challenges and legislation, specifically in the repairs area
- Good understanding and experience of technology and use / implementation of a housing management solution used in the Social Housing sector
- Experience of working with customers (internal or external) to design robust business and process-based solutions to meet business needs
- Working knowledge of the project life-cycle, structured methodologies, and delivering projects on time to budget
- Expert stakeholder management skills to secure and maintain external and internal commitment to agreed scope and outcomes
- Experience of working in the IT sector in architecture, product management, business analysis or project delivery roles
- Experience of working with solution providers in the definition or specification of product enhancements either as a senior customer or supplier
- Experience of UI/UX design and new product development using Agile methodologies
- Experience of working with / implementing HMS solutions
- Excellent communication skills with significant experience of customer engagement / customer management at all levels including senior management / director levels
- Excellent formal and informal presentation skills encompassing a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to upskill rapidly in new areas or technologies to an appropriate level of understanding
