Overall Purpose of Role
A vacancy has arisen in our Station End Team, for a Field Engineer to join a small team of field engineers to provide support London Fire Brigade, mobilising systems. You will be based from home supporting stations within the greater London area. The successful candidate must respond to support calls within specific timescales in line with SLA and, where practical to do so, resolve calls remotely. A proven ability to provide a high level of technical expertise and well as a customer focused approach together with recognised accreditations are essential.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
The role requires knowledge of Windows 7, 8.1, 10, Server 2012 onwards, and an understanding of providing support in various software packages.
You will be responsible for resolving and reporting on various mobilising issues; installing, configuring and troubleshooting systems.
Technically, you will have experience of Windows operating systems and hardware support knowledge of printers, touch screens and UPS. Knowledge of closed circuit sound systems would be an advantage, as would installation of infrastructure cabling.
