Job Description

As a Product Manager within our COS Data & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, implementation, and management of data & insights products for global COS. You will work together with a diverse team comprising Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers, closely engaging with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality data & insights products for COS globally.

The role has a dual focus where in addition to leading your products, you will also be technically hands-on to be the data analytics expert in the team and collaborate with stakeholders to solve business challenges using data, analytics & AI. 

Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the strategic vision, direction, and roadmap for data & insights product development, aligning it with business goals and customer needs.  
  • Build end-to-end product strategy, including definition of scope, roadmap, and KPIs, and understand product development from ideation to release.
  • Work closely with cross-functional areas to identify data & insights product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery.  
  • Define high-level KPIs/OKRs and align them with the respective stakeholders, supporting a data-driven environment.
  • Follow agile methodologies and best practices to facilitate efficient and iterative product development.
  • Turn business challenges into structured data analyses and be responsible for the full analysis process from problem and scope definition to data extraction, cleaning, analysis, visualization, creating recommendations, and presenting results.
  • Work on a broad variety of business challenges with a wide range of business stakeholders (marketing, sales, merch, purchasing, logistics, etc.). 
  • Utilize technical skills in SQL in combination with other analytics tools that can help you reach your goals (e.g., R, Python, Looker studio or Power BI). 
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data management, advanced analytics and AI technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our organization.

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as either:
    • Data Analyst, Product/Business Analyst or Controller with formal/informal experience in leading data analytics product/projects.  
    • Product/Project Manager with hands-on experience in data analysis, product/business analysis or controlling.
  • Have hands-on working experience writing advanced SQL queries to extract, prep, validate, and analyse large data sets.
  • Have experience and skills in analysing, visualizing, and presenting complex data set using relevant programming languages and/or BI tools. 
  • Functional knowledge of lean-agile development and methodologies as well as product vision creation and product roadmap development     
  • Capable of gathering, analysing, and understanding customer and business needs and understanding impact against product backlog and impact on team     
  • Able to clearly express the connections between larger business goals and small backlog items for team members.
  • Have strong business sense and business interest with the ability of making sound interpretations of data and other information. 
  • Have excellent communication skills and are skilled in translating and explaining complex data analysis to non-technical and/or senior stakeholders.
