Application Lead Developer - Typescript, Node.js, React.js, and Next.js

Application lead Developer needed for a rapidly growing, market-leading data company, who are looking to employ an experienced Application lead Developer to lead a small team of Developers and oversee the development of their SAAS platform and associated projects, with an in-depth knowledge of TypeScript, especially with Node.js, React.js, and Next.js
The Application lead Developer salary expectation:
• Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
• 20 day's Annual leave + Bank Holidays
• Hybrid Working - 1 day per week in the office
• Flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle
Some of the main duties of the Application lead Developer will include:
• Lead and mentor a small team of developers to deliver high-quality software
• Measure and improve team performance, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment... encouraging growth and knowledge sharing
• Coordinate development efforts between the Application Team and the Data Team, ensuring data integration and consistency
• Conduct sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to keep the team aligned and on track
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using TypeScript, with a strong focus on Node.js, React.js, and Next.js
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure robust and high-quality code
• Optimize deployments on platforms like Vercel and AWS for a seamless development and user experience
• Manage team tickets and workflows using JIRA, ensuring priorities are clear and deadlines are met
In order to be the successful Application Lead Developer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
• Proficiency in TypeScript, especially with Node.js, React.js, and Next.js
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Vercel and AWS
• SQL, MongoDB
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and its application in modern software practices
• Experience working with designers, QA, and product teams to deliver user-focused solutions
• Experience managing project workflows and team tickets in JIRA
• Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Ability to track and measure team performance, striving for continuous improvement
• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring developers and managing team performance
