What’s in it for you?

As a Desktop Support Deployment Technician you’ll play a pivotal role in our End User’s technology experience from the second they walk through the door. You will utilise your skillset to efficiently prepare, deploy, handover and induct our new joiners. This includes the handing over of Windows, MacOS and Mobile devices.

The Team

Reporting to the Desktop Support Manager and working with your immediate team of 1 colleague in Deployment, 4 Desktop Support Engineers and 2 Senior Desktop Support Engineers.

The technology department is close to 150 people including Security Operations, Client Technologies, Infrastructure, Production Systems Support and Product and Developer teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing a ‘best in class’ IT Service and Customer Experience. This includes preparing new starter equipment and delivering induction to our new joiners, and working closely with HR.
  • Ensuring all tickets are updated within the business OLA and Line Managers are kept frequently updated.
  • You will be passionate about continuous service improvement this includes maintaining the Roller Racking room and Build room ensuring the spaces stay safe and organised, maintaining IT assets and inventory and arranging replacement machine deployments for both faulty and warranty.
  • Staying up to date with emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to enhance our processes and tech.

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have

  • Previous experience in a Desktop Support/Service Desk role within an enterprise environment working across Mac, Windows and different types of mobile and computing softwatre
  • Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Mac OS & Microsoft 365 Administrator Experience
  • Good knowledge and confidence within Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and AutoPilot
  • Onboarding and experience delivering inductions
  • A genuine love of technology and understanding how things work, and sometimes why they don’t
  • You are a confident communicator, enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative, fast-paced team and are comfortable talking to people at all levels of the business
