Job Description
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated HR Generalist to join our a dynamic HR team, for 15 months FTC to cover maternity leave.
Reporting to the UK HR Operations Partner, the successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing HR operations support to the HR Business Partners & Business Managers across three key business lines which have complex and specific people needs in a scientific and technical focused environment.
Covering a headcount of around 200 employees, the HR Generalist will be one of the key contacts for employees and a strong partner for the managers with UK based employees, with a strong focal point on performance and continuous development.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working in close collaboration with the HR Business Partners, Managers, and the People Development team to make sure the best expertise and service possible is provided
- Being a competent partner for managers, providing confidential advice and guidance on the people aspects of their business challenges
- Collaborating with the Global HR Business Partners by attending fortnightly meetings to discuss strategic plans, projects and Employee Relations.
- Actively use data and analysis to support with reviewing processes and future planning
- Support with employee engagement and building effective communication being one of the key contacts for employees for their requests related to their career, performance, development, and compensation
- To be able to confidently advise and support managers on the application of CGG’s policies and procedures
- Providing HR support to managers and employees with various employment relation matters in line with current employment law
- Lead on the cascading and communication of the corporate HR initiatives
- Support managers and HR team with yearly cyclical tasks and Talent Reviews
- Lead on People development projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively Implement business reorganisations and restructures

This position is full time, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). Flexible Hybrid Working - up to 3 days at the office / 2 working from home
Qualifications
- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD accreditation desirable
Skills and Experiences:
- Data analysis and production of associated corrective action plans
- Experience in compensation management (working with market data, providing analysis and support to their decisions for managers)
- Excel proficiency (vlookup, pivot table, advanced formula)
- Critical and analytical thinking and problem solving
- Experience of working within Human Resources and already working as a Senior HR Advisor/Generalist
- Being fluent in English
