As an Ops Regional Manager at bp pulse you are a forward thinking leader responsible for the strategy and execution of all operations within your location. In this role you will be responsible for leading the overall management and execution, recruitment, training, and development of a dynamic delivery team. Your team will look to you to set the standard for open communication, active problem solving and a positive work environment. We expect you to be 100% committed to the success of your team, and actively involve yourself in your team member’s growth and development. You will be responsible for delivering performance including though not exclusive to reliability, costs of delivery and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be based remotely.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
• Ensure that the KPIs and Operational priorities are communicated to the team and subsequently met or exceeded.
• Anticipate challenges in advance, share forecasts and challenges with relevant stakeholders and implement the necessary countermeasures to ensure deliveries continue operating at scale
• Lead the planning, implementation and follow up of continuous improvement measures in your area
• Seek out, review, and analyse performance data to translate numbers and establish the best strategy / action plans; communicate these regularly to your team
• Ensure that processes and best practices are well understood, implemented, followed in your area and shared across the wider department
• Drive continuous improvements to facilitate exceptional team output and customer service including designing innovative solutions to problems in your area
• Champion efficiency, productivity, quality, and overall excellence in all of your actions and decisions
• Take responsibility for implementing HSSE safety requirements in your area
• Maintain a strong overview of processes and resource
• Establish close cooperation with all business stakeholders, internally and externally
• Provide support to the team in dealing with difficult customer conversations, ensuring that customer needs are understood and met • Guide and coach employees towards always providing a best-in-class customer experience and on-going personal development
• Hold monthly and quarterly team meetings to ensure the team are kept up to date on business performance and priorities and share strategy and priorities for their own region and individual areas
• Spends an average of 3-4 days per week out in the field to drive performance, coaching their team and ensuring they are using all resource platforms available to them
• Lead and develop a diverse team of field engineers, technical and 2nd line support resources
• Responsible for ensuring we meet PCI compliance through efficiently managing quarterly PCI visits to all charge points with payment terminals
• Responsible for all new hires, and ensuring there is a robust onboarding process in place to support the induction of new starters
• Ensures we are efficiently managing FSE Homecharge visits across their resources
• Builds best in class relationships with the M+C Regional Managers and Dealer Sales Managers – meeting monthly to check on any specific issues across our Co and Do sites
• JIB recognised UK competency-based qualification (electrotechnical Level 3 NVQ or a formal UK electrotechnical apprenticeship) an advantage
• IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualified (BS7671:2018) an advantage
• 2919-1 Level 3 in Domestic, Commercial & Industrial Electric Vehicle Charging equipment installation or equivalent an advantage
• ECS card (Maintenance Electrician or Electrician) an advantage
Knowledge & Experience
• Significant manager experience in operations with proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and goals.
• Strong experience in coaching and managing performance on a team and individual level
• In-depth knowledge of operational processes and ability to translate this in a manner that motivates your team to exceed targets
• Beyond taking ownership, be accountable for your own actions and responsibilities, you can create a culture where your team does the same
• Great understanding of customer satisfaction and desire to offer the best possible experience to every customer
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships and act as a well-respected, trusted partner and leader that others want to work with
• Passionate about the mission of bp pulse with excellent communication skills in English and a Full UK Driving License held for 2 years and over
• A fast learner, flexible and passionate individual who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment liaising with stakeholders effectively.
