What You'll Do:

The Marketing Manager role for the International Government and Antenna Systems business areas is a crucial tactical role. It not only provides input into the marketing direction of the business unit, but also ensures that the planning and implementation of associated activities and campaigns run on time and on budget, ensuring a positive impact on market penetration and customer satisfaction for International and Antenna System services within the global market place.

The manager works closely with the other members of the central corporate marketing team to ensure that the image of business units both internally and externally is of a forward thinking, professional outfit who seeks to maximise end user satisfaction and promote the status of Viasat and Viasat Government.

This opportunity is presented due to an internal transfer.

Qualifications

The day-to-day

  • Assist in the development and collation of all marketing plans and campaigns to support both B2B and B2C, including allocation and management of budgets and ROI tracking.
  • Be the liaison person for sales, business development and market development and offer development teams to establish a plan that fulfils the business units’ objectives and priorities across all market sectors and geographies.
  • Work with Marketing Director to establish and maintain a compelling online, social media, video and print image plan for the business unit both directly and through partners that demonstrates clear wider purpose and generates positive sentiment in the market.
  • Play a major part in the organisation of key marketing for the International Government and Antenna Systems events and campaigns, ensure stakeholders are driving decisions and the events team are executing as briefed and planned. This includes affiliated, external customer, partner and internal events. Some attendance at events is also required.
  • Liaise internally with different corporate marketing areas/teams, such as creative, digital, brand, events, internal and external communications as well as our operational teams to manage and unsure all content and collateral requests from stakeholders are delivered on brand, on time and on budget.
  • Support operational lead and wider organisation in the coordination of key internal communications including staff newsletters, leadership updates.
  • Support the central marketing team with the new website development creating new and repurposing existing content.
  • Be the brand advocate for the business unit and ensure that all activity and collateral is delivered on brand and on time for each respective audience and market across all territories, including working with translation agencies and merchandise suppliers.
  • Become the in-house expert for Pardot and SFDC or other CRM tools, using them to maximise and streamline CRM efficiency and to work with the central marketing digital team to ensure that there is complete synchronisation between the platforms. As well as push customer facing business unit’s team members to ensure that SFDC is updated with correct information following completion of marketing campaigns and to conduct regular audits of compliance.
  • Generate social media plans and campaigns to increase brand awareness and followers, manage these platforms, content and reporting.
  • Responsible for procurement and PO/PR for the marketing through inhouse procurement portals and expenses management.
  • To help manage internal and partner facing repositories ensuring they are always up to date with new content and collateral, auditing legacy content and following up for updates.
  • To be responsible for G2 Sponsorship activities to ensure we maximise CSR exposure for G2 and Inmarsat. This will include liaising with sponsored campaigns and partners to collate pictures and stories for use in such projects.
  • To develop strong collaborative links with peers across the other business units and corporate teams to ensure a coherent and aligned overall corporate.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in B2B and working within a corporate marketing environment.
  • Experience and a generalist marketeer
  • Experience working on global external and internal marketing activity globally.
  • An ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisations including strong stakeholder management skills - Confident and articulate.
  • Experience in digital marketing, marketing automation and CRM software
  • Creative professional with experience with creation tools such as Adobe suite advantageous
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and on budget.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a co-operative attitude – able to work as part of a team but also independently and proactively.
  • A good degree of initiative and self-motivation with a natural ability to inspire and manage stakeholders and collaborators but also operationally hands-on.
