Ingram Content Group is hiring an Operations Manager to contribute to our Operations team in Jackson, TN. The Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operation of departments within our Distribution Center while ensuring service levels, performance levels, and quality standards are meeting daily requirements.
At Ingram, the Operations team serves a key role within the organization. We ensure that our distribution centers and warehouse facilities function at maximum efficiency. Safety is a core value in our distribution environment. We emphasize this through training, education and accident prevention programs. Schedule:
M-F 3pm-12am, may require some flexibility in addition to occasional Saturdays
What You'll Need:
HS Diploma or GED
3 years experience in a high volume distribution center supervising at least 25 or more employees
2 years experience working with a Warehouse Management System
6 months work experience which includes walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard
Preferred Skills:
5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
Experienced in coaching and developing team members and passionate about employee engagement
Skilled in problem solving and communication.
What You'll Do:
Manage and operate a group of departments within budgeted payroll guidelines.
Coach, counsel and develop a group of operations supervisors.
Control and manag costs for all assigned departments.
Analyze staffing needs and delegate work based on volume requirements in assigned departments.
Meet established turnover objectives.
Ensure customer services levels and CPU goals are met.
Manage progressive counseling process and ensure all associates in assigned departments are treated equally.
Establish back-up strategies by cross-training, analyzing volume projections and problem solving.
