Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and driven Training and Resourcing Manager to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and implementation of compliant training programs while managing the resourcing needs of the organisation. You will be responsible for leading a team and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure new employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles as well as enhancing the skills and capabilities of the existing workforce. Furthermore, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a leading aviation and logistics organisation while ensuring the development and compliance of your employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for employees across various aviation departments including the auditing of training paperwork and files.
  • Manage a team of trainers and administrators including delegating tasks effectively within the team in addition to supporting and advising senior leadership on all directed training requirements.
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles alongside the planning and central resourcing departments.
  • Ensure all colleagues are compliant with enhanced background checks required for their airside passes when working within the airport environment.
  • Oversee resourcing strategies to optimise workforce allocation and maintain appropriate staffing levels working closely with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in training and development, integrating relevant advancements into training programs.
  • Fully understand and comply with all current and future company rules, regulations, procedures, processes and polices, while promptly reporting any breaches.
  • Maintenance of, and compliance with, the written Civil Aviation Authority / Department for Transport training standards while overseeing and implementing all relevant security training legislation and changes.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to identify training needs and create tailored solutions to address them effectively, continuously improving training to maximise impact.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in the logistics or aviation industry.
  • Competent administration skills and computer literacy are required for the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues, customers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated management experience and leadership capabilities, with the ability to drive initiatives and inspire others to excel.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other training-related technologies.
