What’s on offer?
Location: Home or Hybrid Based (Birstall WF17)
Salary: Up to £40k per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 per week, 08:30 – 17:00, Mon - Fri
What you’ll be doing:
As our dedicated Service Asset & Configuration Manager, you’ll work to improve and manage Service Asset and Configuration processes within a big public sector project, ensuring teams work well together for effective IT service management. You'll also team up with the ITIL Process Manager to enhance the overall ITSM framework.
Ideally, you will have experience in process ownership, complex service delivery, and IT asset management. Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail are also key to success in this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are seeking a healthy work-life balance as we are offering a fully remote or hybrid contract. If you opt for a fully remote contract, there is a requirement to travel to our Birstall (WF17) and London offices for ad-hoc meetings. Currently, the team are meeting at our Birstall offices 4 days per month.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Setting process goals and strategy for Service Asset and Configuration Management.
Establishing and managing a 3-tier process structure.
Ensuring seamless collaboration between teams.
Overseeing central tool integration.
Driving process improvement in review forums.
Monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
Clarifying obligations for all stakeholders.
Maintaining the configuration management database.
Ensuring relevant KPIs are in place and functional.
Participating in CMDB development and maintenance.
Qualifications
PreferredSkills & Experience
Service Now Administration Experience, including hands-on ITOM exposure.
External customer service ownership.
Large-scale or complex service delivery experience.
Process definition and enhancement expertise.
Background in IT asset and configuration management.
Experience with IT service management tools and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL MP or ITIL SP certification preferred, but at least ITIL Foundation V4 and 2 years of similar role experience required.
People management or leadership training or qualifications.
Additional IT service management certifications, such as COBIT or ISO/IEC 20000.
