At Sana Commerce, we're looking for a Senior Scrum Master to not only guide our development teams through the scrum process, but also to coach other Scrum Masters in guiding their team(s). You will play a critical role in the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework standards and in particular adoption of the Team Topologies framework.

You'll be working closely with the Product Managers, Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, enabling teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, foster an environment of continuous improvement and to drive the successful execution of projects.

Job Description

What you'll be doing: 

• Removing impediments to the team’s progress to ensure that the team can deliver the sprint goals. 
• Supporting and educating the Product Owners with respect to grooming and maintaining product backlog items. 
• Leading and coaching the Product organization in its Scrum adoption. 
• Facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings. 
• Liaising between the developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between the team and its stakeholders. 
• Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. 
• Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the team as well as possible to maximize committed outcomes. 
• Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach to complex work. 
• Coaching the team in organizational environments in which scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood. 

Qualifications

What you'll bring: 

• At least 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. 
• Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I/II, or equivalent). 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 
• Deep understanding of the Scrum principles that goes beyond a ‘follow the rule’ approach and ability to teach others the why’s. 
• Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burn Down technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.). 
• Previous experience with agile methodologies, with a strong focus on Scrum.  
• Excellent skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. 
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with SAFe
