We are looking for an experienced Transport Shift Manager with a passion for leadership who can support the Distribution shift manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues along with a team of administrators. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to ensuring our drivers are taking regular breaks to keep within the working time directive to using your local area knowledge should a drop need rerouting with support from our planners. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.
To join us in this role, you need to be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. You’ll need to have knowledge from CPC management and strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied role where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example you’ll set and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
