Distribution Shift Manager Nights
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 20:30 – 05:00 (any 5 from 7)
40 hour week
We are looking for a colleague with a Transport focused career background who can step up and support the Distribution Manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues on the Night Shift at Brakes Depot in Portbury – part of Sysco GB.
As Distribution Shift Manager you’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to ensuring our drivers are taking regular breaks to keep within the working time directive to using your local area knowledge should a drop need rerouting with support from our planners. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.
To join us in this role, you need to be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. You will be a Class 1 licence holder which will be required in case of emergencies. It is preferred but not essential to have a Management CPC but you will require a strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied opportunity where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Having IOSHH is advantageous as you'll be expected to lead by example to set and maintain standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
