Kent Frozen Foods in Aylesford have an Coldstore Team Leader opportunity for an experienced leader, to come and support the Operations Supervisor in the day-to-day management of the Warehouse Operation during the night shift operating hours. You will naturally promote and embrace our inclusive team environment; whilst finding solutions and ensure that everything we do enables us to deliver on our promises to our customers and exceed expectations. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate effective communication of key performance indicators (KPIs) to the team. You will be tasked with planning and scheduling the shift's work, including assigning activities to team members. Conducting start-of-shift team briefs and ensuring team motivation are integral parts of your role. Additionally, you will oversee administrative tasks, ensuring data is captured accurately and in a timely manner. Staff utilisation will also fall under your area of accountability, along with providing training and guidance to team members as needed. Absence management will be another important aspect of your duties, ensuring adequate coverage and managing any staffing issues that arise.
We will look for our successful new Coldstore Team Leader to demonstrate a 'Customer First' mindset. Being innovative and agile in approaches to identify new ideas and methods will further enhance your effectiveness in this role. It is essential that you are willing to be 'hands-on' when necessary, and have an ability to remain calm when under pressure. By leading by example for adherence to health and safety, sharing knowledge in accordance with company policies and procedures, to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Effective communication and proficiency in computer skills will be essential, in particular familiarity with tools such as Chorus.
