Brakes (a Sysco company) are currently looking for a Talent & Development Business Partner to join the Talent & development team on a full time, permanent basis, reporting to the Director of Talent.
The purpose of this role is to step change what we do when inducting, upskilling, and developing our people (including high potential talent).
This role is key in delivering the overall people development plan, building colleague capability, supporting transformation development, and driving culture change. Working with HR Directors, HR Business Partners, business leads and the Talent Director, the role holder will determine our talent and development strategies for building people capability and growth at all levels of the organisation. They will ensure we develop our colleagues in the areas critical to our business through innovative and impactful development experiences, initiatives, and programmes. The role will also take a lead on managing, in partnership with other Talent & Development Business Partners, our approach to maximising the apprenticeship levy.
This role is offering a home-based contract that will require some travel commitment and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required.

About you:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Talent & Development and have proven capability in building relationships with senior leadership teams and managing and developing programs. Understanding the end-to-end development process - attraction, selection, assessment, and development and building talent and development strategies is crucial in this role. You should be a thought leader who can research, understand, and predict future trends - probing on and predicting current and future needs, knowing how to make a difference. You should be proactive and drive for results and ability to influence action, developing early-stage recommendations for discussion and further development. The candidate will be passionate about delivering our strategy and possess the confidence, analytical and problem-solving skills whilst being curious, questioning, and able to look beyond the raw data and develop insights. It would be great to see a willingness to get stuck in and become part of a busy, high-energy team and someone who is passionate about DE&I, supporting business goals and fair opportunities.
