About The Team
The Business Systems Analyst team comprises experienced analysts who collaborate with stakeholders to refine business requirements into clear user stories for development and QA teams. Their primary focus is to enhance our customer-facing 1Portal by managing new products, integrating with Salesforce, and implementing innovative solutions to deliver a seamless user
About Your Role
PlatformX Communications powers the UK's Business Connectivity market. We offer flexible and user-friendly cloud and connectivity solutions to partners, with a goal to become the fastest growing provider of high bandwidths (1Gb+) and the top Connectivity Platform in the market in the next 5 years.
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and vendors to gather and analyse business requirements and process. You will be working across a range of systems from our award winning 1Portal to our CRM system as well as web services and API’s The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and can demonstrate attention to detail thorough planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan business analysis activities and manage communications to stakeholders.
• Conduct functional/technical requirement gathering sessions with business users.
• Work closely with technical teams to design solutions and user stories.
• Analyse, validate and document existing business processes and map functional and non-functional requirements onto the to-be process model in order to demonstrate the impact of change.
• Be comfortable in reading web service documentation and translate this into technical specifications for the development teams.
• Use established tools and techniques to identify and document current and future state business processes.
• Prepare IT & business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, review business processes and make recommendations.
• Producing supporting documents for users and training.
• Work with internal and offshore development team.
• Being involved with the full software development lifecycle through scope, plan, build, test and deployment.
What Will Make You Successful in this Role
• Proven experience of working on IT systems to help make crucial changes and updates to systems.
• Experience within a business analyst position
• Strong understanding of investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis and management, strategy analysis and requirement engineering.
• Knowledge of using a variety of modelling & analysis tools, methods and standards (e.g. Business process modelling, use cases, writing User stories, root cause analysis).
• Experience in full project lifecycle (Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies).
• Scope control and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organisation.
• Experience of using software delivery tools such as Jira/Trello.
• Good interpersonal and team skills.
• Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
