The Role

This is an exciting and unique role, the key focus of the role will be to work with our reception team supporting them in delivering the highest level of service from the moment the guest makes their reservation, right through to their departure. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, consisting of an even mix of 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts.

The role demands that the appointee is highly efficient and organized. They must be standards driven as the service given to all guests is of the highest level and importance. Effective communication will be a critical element of this role and you will be dealing with highly confidential information.

Motivated and passionate individuals are recognised, and growth and development are encouraged by higher management. You will be supported in all aspects of your role by the Office Manager, however you will be expected to use initiative and take responsibility where appropriate.

Candidate Criteria

This is a very high-quality operation and accordingly, candidates must have significant exposure to top-quality hotel and leisure environments. Whilst at one level this is a traditional business, it is also progressive, and candidates should be able to demonstrate a much more contemporary outlook on life and an ability to adapt to a fast-moving, busy operation.

You will assist with our guest requirements and bespoke services and ensure that we build good relationships with our discerning guests. You will be the first face that welcomes guests into the hotel and the last face they see before their onwards journey, so it's important that the appointee is confident and natural in a customer facing role.

Background

The Nare Hotel, positioned as ‘the country house hotel by the sea’, is Cornwall's top luxury hotel. Sitting in its own grounds, overlooking a beach with perfect sea views, the hotel offers traditional standards of comfort, luxury, and service that are increasingly difficult to find in the modern world. Rated by the AA as an 5-hotel. The hotel is set in some 8 acres, has 45 well-appointed rooms, a traditional ‘Dining Room’ and a fine dining restaurant. In addition, the hotel offers a broad range of leisure facilities including tennis, croquet, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a small spa with two treatment rooms and a 38’ motor launch which takes guests on excursions.

The Nare has now also entered a phase of significant growth with the development of further accommodation and improvements.
