Your New Role
Job Purpose
To assist the finance team with the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and compliance tasks while progressing toward full professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA). This role provides hands-on experience and supports career development in accounting.
key Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly management accounts within tight deadlines
· Month-End & Year-End Processes: Support accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and journal entries.
· Posting Supplier Invoices and credit notes, employee expenses
· Cost variance analysis for fuel, temp agency, courier costs etc
· Weekly payment runs for various currencies GBP, EURO, AUD, CHF, JPY
· Bank & Ledger Reconciliation: Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies
· Maintain weekly cash flow reports and assist reporting manager.
· Analysis & Reporting: Perform margin analysis, variance analysis, and prepare financial reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
· Audit Assistance: Provide documentation and support during audits.
· Ad Hoc Tasks: Support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
· Education: ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (part-qualified status).
· Experience: 1–3 years in a finance role (practice or industry).
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements).
· Soft Skills: Attention to detail, strong communication, ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
