Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to manage the competitive procurement process for critical healthcare service contracts within a large public sector organisation, ideally someone who has experience of dealing with complex data, storage solutions & IT procurement within this sector.
This role requires a robust procurement professional who can lead the full end-to-end competitive tender process, from requirements definition through to contract award, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements.
This is a fast-paced environment requiring exceptional stakeholder management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive complex procurement activities to successful outcome.
Requires:
• Proven experience leading competitive procurement processes within healthcare or public sector environments
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, frameworks, and compliance requirements
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with ability to work with clinical, operational, and executive teams
• Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities
• Expertise in developing procurement strategies, tender documentation, and evaluation frameworks
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent procurement activities
• Exceptional written communication skills for producing high-quality procurement documentation
• Ability to challenge requirements and drive value for money outcomes
• Healthcare domain experience is highly valued and will significantly benefit delivery speed and stakeholder credibility.
This is a hands-on procurement leadership role requiring someone who can take complete ownership of procurement activities while fostering strong collaboration with clinical, operational, and commercial teams.
