We are looking for people who are passionate about procurement and know the value they can bring to Nationwide Building Society. You'll understand the importance of getting the right commercial deal, investing into relationships, moving at pace, outsourcing approaches, emerging markets and technology impacting the financial services sector. You'll want to make a difference with new thinking, whilst respecting we have processes and policies to diligently follow.
Already a procurement professional, you'll be looking for your next challenge. You have a proven track record in procurement and can demonstrate how you deliver tangible business benefit, using procurement expertise to influence and engage with a wide range of business stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
You'll use strong stakeholder relationships and deep understanding of the services category to enable the development of category strategies and plan as a subject matter expert to the business. You'll provide market insight and engage with existing and prospective suppliers to bring innovation and vision.
Delivering robust commercial deals for Nationwide, that meet the risk appetite and ensure we spend our customer's money wisely.
Utilise new and existing supplier relationships to deliver continuous improvements, analyse commercial options and drive great value propositions whilst drafting and negotiating complex contracts and ensure the maintenance and timely execution of Nationwide's contract pipeline.
About you
As a minimum requirement you will have:
• Demonstratable experience in procurement and supply chain management (category management, contract negotiation and management, supplier selection and management)
• Excellent interpersonal skills including effective communications, relationship building and stakeholder management
• Possess the ability to analyse data and complex inputs to support sound business decisions
• Have a good knowledge of contract law and managing risk
• Experience within a financial services and/or regulated organisation
• MCIPS qualified or studying toward qualification/or an in-depth understanding of and experience dealing with IT contracts/suppliers
• Strong experience of procuring IT services
