Role Purpose:
The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day human resources operations within the school. This includes assisting with recruitment, onboarding, staff records, leave tracking, and ensuring compliance with school policies and relevant labor regulations. The role contributes to maintaining a positive, well-organized, and professional work environment by providing timely administrative support and acting as a liaison between staff and the HR department. The HR Assistant also helps foster a culture of care, efficiency, and collaboration that supports the school’s educational mission and staff wellbeing.
Job Description:
HR Adminstration:
• Maintain and update employee records, files, and databases.
• Prepare HR-related documents such as contracts, offer letters, and reference checks.
• Track and manage employee attendance, leaves, and probationary periods.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Recruitment & onboarding
• Post job openings on relevant platforms and coordinate candidate interviews.
• Schedule and follow up on interviews and selection processes.
• Support onboarding of new staff, interns, and residency members.
• Ensure welcome kits, IT access, and orientation schedules are ready.
Reporting & compliance
• Assist in preparing monthly HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance).
• Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information.
• Track contract renewal dates, residency timelines, and visa status where applicable.
Skills
Job requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Familiarity with UAE labor law
