Warehouse Operative
We are looking for an individual who can work within our warehouse at our Wincanton site, (please note the site is moving to North Cadbury in January 2026). The role will predominantly be picking and packing food products and organising customer orders, occasionally supporting the Transport team with relief Van Driving.
Responsibilities:
• Picking & packing of orders on paper / through headset technology.
• Loading / unloading Lorries.
• Replenishment and re-stocking of shelves.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Relief multidrop van delivery driver,
Personal qualities for success in this role:
• Proven ability to learn new things. We expect the successful candidate to take the initiative, ask questions, look for continuous improvement and be accountable for their actions.
• Working collaboratively with others in the warehouse team and with key stakeholders around the business. It is important for this candidate to be able to think of the bigger picture, not just the importance of one’s own agenda.
• Strong organisational, time-management and prioritisation abilities. The candidate will need to be approachable and enthusiastic. This is a fast-paced role which will compliment an individual who thrives in that environment.
Required Competencies:
• Reliable.
• Have high attention to detail.
• Work proactively.
• Work as part of a team.
• Heavy lifting will be required.
• Driving license.
Desirable skillsets for this role:
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Successful candidate will ideally have a Counterbalance license.
